Scope of functions:
1. Tax
・Domestic tax matters The mission is to work together with related departments to improve management efficiency from the tax aspect and not only respond to tax declarations at our companies in Japan but also accounting rules and business processes that satisfy tax requirements. Tax risk management including reorganization and thorough guidance to related departments.
・International Tax matters Optimize organizational structure from the perspective of international tax cross border transaction transfer pricing and consideration of impact on customs tariffs etc. It is expected to have the ability to solve problems affecting the entire group mainly through international tax risk management under the guidance of Head of Finance and accounting.
・ Response to transfer pricing taxation
・ Response to international tax issues at domestic and overseas group companies
・ Domestic reorganization cross border reorganization （stock transfer liquidation organizational form conversion etc.）
・ Corporate tax return （domestic）
・ Tax investigation response

2. Accounting
・Timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of all financial statements and internal reports complying with group requirement German GAAP and Japan GAAP with updating new accounting and tax rules
・Ensure monthly and quarterly closing process and high quality of accounting report package
・Well manage external and internal auditors
・External contacts include:
・ Our affiliates on all interco reconciliations
・ BU controllers in Japan on joint topics starting with accurals company valuations and so on

Experiences skills and competencies:
・Successful experience in an international environment
・12 15 years tax （including international tax matters） accounting experience with book closing activity
・Experience in manufacturing industry or company with production site is preferable
・Successful tax accountant exam （Corporate tax Consumption tax） is strong plus
・Attention to detail yet ability to maintain an “80/20” mindset
・Fast learner and adapt change quickly
・Excellent interpersonal skill and comfortable to work with multinational and multi cultural teams
・Intermediate/advance level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
・Hands on experience in SAP （nice to have）

Languages:
・Japanese at fluent levels and English （TOEIC 700 or more） business levels are necessary
・Good knowledge of financial and accounting terms in English is necessary
